Bay Ridge Italian Restaurants: Hours, Menus and Prices
Tony Marchetti · October 28, 2026 · 7 min read
Of seven Bay Ridge Italian restaurants compared here, only Zio Toto at 8407 3rd Avenue, Ponte Vecchio at 8810 4th Avenue and Terina at 8424 3rd Avenue open on Mondays; Gino’s Restaurant, Luliano’s, Brooklyn Roots Italian and Peppino’s do not. Only Gino’s and Luliano’s print dollar prices on their menus. Hours, menus and group rules below are taken from each restaurant’s own website, as checked in October 2026.
Which Bay Ridge Italian restaurant is best for what?
Published facts cannot crown one winner, so the table sets the seven side by side in order of printed street number, with the two things that settle most visits: Monday hours and whether the menu shows prices. By need: Zio Toto, Ponte Vecchio or Terina for a Monday; Gino’s or Luliano’s when the bill matters; Peppino’s, Gino’s or Brooklyn Roots for a large party.
| Restaurant | Address | Monday | Menu prices online |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gino’s Restaurant | 7414 Fifth Ave | Closed | Dollar prices; chicken parmigiana $26 |
| Peppino’s | 7708 3rd Ave | Closed (and Tuesday) | No readable menu text |
| Luliano’s | 7902 3rd Ave | Closed | Dollar prices; chicken parmigiana with spaghetti $23 |
| Zio Toto | 8407 3rd Ave | 11am to 11pm | Figures with no dollar sign; confirm |
| Terina | 8424 3rd Ave | 5pm to 11pm; confirm by phone | Figures with no dollar sign; confirm |
| Brooklyn Roots Italian | 8602 3rd Ave | Closed | Figures with no dollar sign; confirm |
| Ponte Vecchio | 8810 4th Ave | Lunch noon to 4pm, dinner 4pm to 10pm | None on the menu page |
Addresses are as printed on each restaurant’s own site.
How were these seven chosen?
Each has a working official website, a posted Brooklyn address in ZIP code 11209, posted hours or a priced menu, and at least one stated booking, seating or group detail. The picks are editorial and the table is a sort, not a ranking. Other Bay Ridge Italian restaurants are missing because their own sites could not be read in October 2026, so their absence says nothing about quality or whether they are open.
Are Bay Ridge Italian restaurants closed on Mondays?
Four of the seven are: Gino’s, Luliano’s, Brooklyn Roots and Peppino’s. As of October 2026, Zio Toto opens 11am to 11pm, Ponte Vecchio serves lunch from noon to 4pm and dinner from 4pm to 10pm, and Terina opens 5pm to 11pm. Terina’s homepage prints days and times in separate blocks, so confirm by phone at 718-619-1191.
Tuesday changes the list. Terina is closed, and Peppino’s, already shut Monday, is the only one of the seven dark both days. Wednesday matters for lunch: Peppino’s and Luliano’s both open at 4pm, so a Wednesday lunch means Zio Toto (11am), Gino’s (11am), Brooklyn Roots (noon) or Ponte Vecchio (noon). Sunday has its own outlier: Brooklyn Roots does not open until 2pm, while Zio Toto, Gino’s and Luliano’s open at 11am and Ponte Vecchio and Peppino’s at noon.
Do Bay Ridge Italian restaurants post their menu prices?
As of October 2026, two print dollar prices on their own pages: Gino’s and Luliano’s. Both menus list a chicken parmigiana entree, and Gino’s is 3 dollars higher:
- Luliano’s: $23, with spaghetti.
- Gino’s: $26, with pasta or french fries.
Luliano’s also lists a “Third Ave Chicken Parm” with spicy vodka sauce, burrata and rigatoni at $29. Gino’s lists lasagna and penne vodka at $19.95 each, with half orders of pasta at $16.95; Luliano’s lists penne a la vodka at $19. Gino’s prix fixe lunch menu, a PDF headed “Established 1964,” is $28 per person plus tax and gratuity, Tuesday to Friday until 4pm. For how other New York rooms compare on parmigiana and pasta prices, see the price-band report on Italian-American restaurants.
Terina and Brooklyn Roots publish menu PDFs that print numbers without a dollar sign, and Zio Toto’s Brooklyn page does the same in its menu text. Treat these as figures to confirm, not confirmed dollar prices:
- Zio Toto: 18 beside Pollo Parmigiana and 16 beside Homemade Lasagna.
- Terina: 29 beside Spicy Vodka and 38 beside Truffle Short Rib Paccheri.
- Brooklyn Roots: 28 beside Rigatoni Vodka, 36 beside chicken in its Parm’s section and 42 beside Cali’s Chicken Parm.
Terina’s and Brooklyn Roots’ menus also print a 3.95% card charge (Terina calls it a surcharge, Brooklyn Roots a convenience fee) and a 20% gratuity for parties of six or more. On a 200 dollar card payment, 3.95% comes to 7.90 dollars. Ponte Vecchio’s menu page lists dishes and descriptions with no prices, and Peppino’s menu page carries no readable menu text, so call either before counting on a number.
Where in Bay Ridge can a large group eat Italian?
As of October 2026, five of the seven post a group offer or a seating figure:
- Peppino’s: welcomes “groups of 8 -16 guests” for a family-style lunch or dinner, customizable across antipasti, pastas and pizzas. No prices are posted on that page.
- Gino’s: family-style menus “for in-restaurant parties of 10-20.” The 3-course version is $54.95 per person and the 4-course $59.95, plus tax and gratuity, with soda, coffee and tea included; children aged 5 to 12 are $27.50 and $30. The menus page adds that the family-style menu is not available for private rooms. Ten adults on the 3-course menu come to 549.50 dollars and twenty on the 4-course to 1,199 dollars, before tax and gratuity.
- Brooklyn Roots: a family-style menu is available for parties of 6 or more and required for 8 or more.
- Zio Toto: says its Brooklyn restaurant has seating for 50 and serves beer and wine. Its Private Parties page describes only the Staten Island restaurant, whose full buyout it puts at up to 130 guests, so ask the Brooklyn restaurant about group terms.
- Luliano’s: invites pizza parties on prix-fixe menus; no capacity or price is posted on the home page.
For party rooms on Staten Island, see Italian restaurants on Staten Island.
What should a Bay Ridge diner confirm by phone?
The pages leave these open. Numbers are as posted on each restaurant’s own site:
- Terina, 718-619-1191: Monday hours and every price.
- Zio Toto, (718) 238-8042: every price, and group terms for the Brooklyn restaurant.
- Brooklyn Roots, (718) 333-5757: every price. It takes reservations by phone.
- Ponte Vecchio, (718) 238-6449: every price, and a table. Its home page says tables are “sometimes booked for months in advance.”
- Peppino’s, (718) 833-3364: the menu and its prices. It takes reservations by phone.
- Gino’s, (718) 748-1698: any same-day table after 4pm, when online same-day booking closes.
Founding claims vary. Gino’s lunch menu PDF is headed “Established 1964,” and Luliano’s home page reads “EST. 2019.” Ponte Vecchio’s own pages disagree on its age: the home page and the About page say “over 35 years,” while the private-events page says “over 30 years,” so treat the age as unconfirmed.
